Ryan Rideout

Ryan grew up on the west coast of North America and studied Architecture, Information Systems and Art History during his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington. He holds a Master of Architecture Degree from Washington State University and has taught several undergraduate courses in theory, design and fabrication. His designs span various typologies that range from rural single family residential to urban high-rise multi-use structures. He has a strong passion for digital fabrication methods and is interested in how these modern design tools can push himself as a designer. Currently, Ryan heads Perkins+Will’s Building Technology Laboratory in Seattle that focuses on Mass Timber systems and is an avid advocate for environmentally conscious building techniques.
